Happy Mother’s Day

May 9, 2021
Good morning,

Life doesn’t come with a manual, it comes with a mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you amazing Moms!

The housing market continues to grow. Based upon the first week of sales in May and more complete reporting on closed sales in April, California should see an acceleration in the market. Every week of April recorded a 40%+ increase from the same point in 2020. In addition, this momentum appears to have carried forward into the first week of May, which was 52.5% above the first week of May last year.

Although housing demand remains robust, the chronic lack of supply and consequent competition among homebuyers is pushing prices up much more quickly.

We shall see.... (WSJ)

Did You Know? Is Chlorine going to be the new toilet paper? In August of 2020, A large Bio Lab factory in Westlake Louisiana, which produces pool and spa treatment products, experienced a devastating fire, after the landfall of Hurricane Laura. “I think the severity of the shortage is going to be directly related to people buying in reasonable quantities,” said Stankowitz, CEO of Aquatic Facility Training & Consultants. “If you stock up, it will make it even harder to find.”
